How it works

A board made for you

  1. 1

    Tell us what you like

Before the tour, we ask about your interests through a short survey or chat: food, retro streets, culture, shopping and more.

  2. 2

    We build your board

We design a sugoroku board of Osaka subway stations picked for you. Each square names the station and what you will find there.

  3. 3

    Roll, ride, explore

On the day, you roll the dice and ride the Osaka Metro with your guide to wherever it lands. If a roll doesn't feel right, you can roll again.

About us

Why “marbles”?

Every guide is a marble: small, round and each one different. Put together, they make a world. That is the idea behind the name Arch of Marbles.

We believe the best travel memories come from the people you meet, not just the places you see. So we start with you, then plan the day around a guide who enjoys showing you their Osaka.

Arch of Marbles is based in Osaka and run by Sou Nakamura, who previously ran a guiding business in Kyoto.
